What ages is this for?
It works best for ages 2–10. The model is told the child's age and adjusts the vocabulary, sentence length, and themes accordingly. The story is short — about 600–800 words, roughly a 4–5 minute read aloud.
Is the story really new every night?
Yes. Each story is generated the same evening it's sent, using your child's name and chosen interests as inputs, and a different archetype each night so the stories don't feel repetitive.
Are the stories safe for bedtime?
Every generated story passes a content-safety check that rejects violence, peril, scary creatures, weapons, loss, and other content not appropriate for bedtime. If a story doesn't pass, the system regenerates with a stricter prompt before it ever reaches you.
How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?
Cancel any time from the manage link at the bottom of every story email — that stops future billing immediately. For refunds, two automatic conditions: if our cron didn't send a single story that month (delivery failure, our fault), you can refund that month for 90 days. If our logs show no one opened or clicked any story we sent that month, you can refund it for 30 days after the month ends — no need to explain. Anything else, email tucktales@forage.bot and we'll sort it with you.
What data do you collect about my child?
Your email, your child's first name only, their age, the interests you enter, and the local time you'd like delivery. No last names, no photos, no account for the child. We never sell or share this data.
Can I have stories for more than one child?
At launch, one subscription is one child profile. To add another child, sign up again with their details — each profile gets its own stories.
What does the $10 illustrated tier add?
Each nightly story arrives with a custom AI-painted cover illustration — calm, picture-book style, generated fresh for that night's tale. The text and the bedtime feel are identical to the $1 tier; you're paying for the art. You can switch tiers any time from the manage link.
